We are currently looking for a student to join our service staff. We offer an exciting workplace with high standards for cuisine, service and hospitality. You will work with phenomenal food products and accomplished colleagues. We will provide you with the opportunity to develop professionally and learn the classic craft of your field. First and foremost, we expect you to be friendly, responsible and eager to work. You should desire to learn on your own and within the training protocols of the restaurant. Students participate in every facet of service. Assignments are numerous. They range from preparing accoutrements for table tops to participating in tableside service.
Expectations for a new student
Friendliness and eagerness to learn are the most important qualities for a new student. We can teach you the elements of service. We cannot teach you how to be kind.
We are a small team at Kong Hans. We all work the same four shifts per week, Wednesday through Saturday. The days are 10 to 12 hours long.
There is a great deal of detail in our service. The work is often tedious and intense. Though students are entry-level, they are important members of the team. We rely heavily on them. That said, you will not be left to fend on your own. Your teammates will always support you.
It’s important to us that we maintain a emotionally warm environment where everyone works hard and everyone is valued. Adult students are also welcome. We do not provide housing.
